Around the Horn

Well, I got up those preliminary lists yesterday like I promised, along with some pictures of my pad down here. Once my sister picks up her digital camcorder, I'm going to try and make an MTV Cribs style video for my apartment, giving you all a better idea of where I live.

And while I didn't get to LeBronJamesNews.com yesterday, something great did happen last night. I was watching "Around the Horn" (I swear, I couldn't find the remote and was just caught between an MLB game and PTI) and right as Max Kellerman was about to say something completely idiotic, as he always does, the Emergency Alert System (a.k.a the system formerly known as emergency broadcast) kicked in and muted the entire show. Sure, it was to broadcast -- wait, alert -- a warning about the weather, but it just seemed so appropriate. All of them, especially Jay Mariotti, need to shut up.

I promise I won't be shutting up soon. I'll have some more updates this weekend, though they may be sparse, since I'm working the next four days.

-Peace out.

Lists...

Goodbye "Listen." Hello "Lists."

With the iTunes 4.0.1 update, the Internet Streaming feature is gone, which means it's back to carrying my iPod everywhere I go (which I did anyway, and it's probably better, since it helps me maintain more accurate playcounts).

Of course, it gets me to work on my lists section, which will basically be a whole bunch of lists of stuff. I know it sounds stupid, but I like listing stuff. For example, for now, I'm leaving up my Top 25 Most Played songs in iTunes. Tomorrow, I'm going to try and post my list of posters currently hanging in my two rooms, which will be separate from the house pictures that I'm going to post in the Pictures section.

I'm also going to post some music/movies lists, in particular, the CDs I currently have in my car (i.e. the last 12 CDs I've bought). Consider it a little more insight into my world.

Work was pretty good today, in part because we were able to keep busy. Also, I got "Enter the Matrix" for PS2, which kept me plenty busy yesterday afternoon, and seems like it'll be playable for a couple weeks before I finish it. I'll try to get a review up in the next couple days, even if I don't beat the whole thing. I did make it through the hacking section, even though I won't get the sword until I finish the game.

Oh, and I'm also going to try and have a new column up on LeBronJamesNews.com tomorrow, probably about the Cavs coaching search. I may also update the Mock Draft -- Boris Diaw is rising again and the Nuggets are shopping their pick.

-Peace out and "Don't Steal Music."

Back-to-Back

Wow, what's up with the back-to-back updates? Hey, Adam must have back-to-back days off!

Now you're getting it.

But seriously, I do have a new SportsBytes online, which is the first one in like two months, so that's good. I did get all that new jersey stuff up last night, so if you haven't seen it yet, check it out.

I was going to post some pictures of my car, since I realized I don't have any up here, but it's raining today, so I can't really take anything. But I did get my own digital camera -- a CoolPix 995 for a great price -- so I can post pictures more easily now.

Well enjoy your Memorial Day, though if you're in the northeast like me, it's gonna be sucky because it's rainy.

-Peace out.

One year in the real world

So I've been away for awhile now, right? And you're all thinking, "what's he been doing during this time?"

-Honestly, not much. Sure, I haven't been updating this site, but if you've been following LeBronJamesNews.com, I've still been around. I've had plenty to write about on here at times, and not much at other times, but for now, we'll just ignore the last two months.

-I'm back because I realized a couple things: one, I had to make a choice about this site. I could either just resume this site as it was in March, kill it entirely and just leave LeBronJamesNews.com, or redesign it and its function. Two: it's been one full year since I graduated college, so it seemed like a better time than any to resume publishing up here.

-I'm going to keep the layout and sections as are for now, but I won't be updating Reviews nearly as much as I had in the past, and I'll probably eventually kill Ramblings (that's what this front page serves for really). If anything, I'll try to expand the "About Me" links, and put in more information that might be of interest to you.

-I'm also going to try and get SportsBytes back onto a weekly schedule, but I'm still looking for a section to replace Tiger Tracks. Multi-Media is still working well for me, as is the eBay item of the week and the random prediction. I'll figure out something I'm sure.

-So what am I going to give you on my first day back? Well, new pictures of jerseys for one. I also re-org'd the NBA jerseys by team, since my new goal is to get every NBA team in addition to my NFL collection.

-Oh, I also posted a new section on the side, called "Listen." With iTunes 4, there's a feature where you can stream your music collection locally via Rendezvous, or over the internet through DAAP. Well, it took some annoying router configuring, but I've got my collection shared and a link posted. I'll change the link as my IP address changes, but you'll always be able to go to adamreisinger.com/listen.html and get to my music. Enjoy.

-Peace out and welcome back.
