I have to be at work in an hour, so this isn't going to be a very long update. Just wanted to get something up here to get November off to a good start, and hopefully we'll have more regular updates than in October.
First up, major props to the Steelers for finally ending New England's 21-game win streak. I hate the Patriots (dating back to owner Bob Kraft's duplicitousness when dealing with moving the team to Connecticut, then pulling out of the deal at the last minute) and still don't think they're a dynastic team, just a good one. Of course, the Steelers didn't reveal any formula to beating the Patriots, they just had a better game.
Speaking of teams that aren't that good, there's the Washington Redskins. They lost, again, this time to the Packers. I'm sure I'll hear about it from Johnson, but honestly this team just sucks this year. Bringing in Brunell was a horrible idea, in retrospect, and has set this organization behind a year or two. I have no quibble with the Portis-Bailey trade, since I believe Portis is a unique talent, while Bailey has been replaced sufficiently with Fred Smoot (and Shawn Springs has done a satisfactory job stepping in for Smoot in the No. 2 corner role).
I haven't watched Charmed or Desperate Housewives for the past two weeks, though Charmed wasn't actually on last week, so I've only missed one episode of that. I also finally managed to catch up with the show "Lost" and I find myself liking it more than I thought I would, though not as much as some people do. I've found Desperate Housewives to be more interesting on a week-to-week basis, which has more to do with the sneaky backstory than the hot women (though the women help). I also need to watch the last two episodes of the season of Dead Like Me, just to find out what finally happened with the Ray situation, and if Rube's personal life had any more light shed on it.
OK, time to get ready for work. I don't know when I have another day off, so I'm not sure when I'll be updating again. Hopefully it won't be three weeks from now.
